02 / MY ACADEMIC JOURNEY

The first in my family.
Never finished learning.

Education opened a different life for me. Every return to the classroom gave me a new way to understand people, organizations, and the systems that connect them.

FORMAL EDUCATION

Three degrees.

Studying human behaviour while continuing to learn English sharpened my curiosity about how we think, communicate, and make decisions.

A deeper study of immigration policy, labour markets, and social cohesion revealed the unintended consequences of well-intentioned policy.

THE FOUNDATION

Before the degrees, a love of science.

My training as a laboratory technician in Serbia, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, taught me about the discipline of separating a claim from its evidence. Government scholarships made it possible for me to study in Canada, support myself, and continue learning English. I remain deeply grateful for that opportunity.
